Almost finished with the drawing. The pic (clickable) turned out a little too dark I see now but I’m happy with the drawing’s progression, what an unsettling feeling!

First stage of the Helena Bonham Carter pencil drawing I started yesterday. There’s not much else to say about it right now, I like how it looks so far so I don’t have any self-criticism to apply to it yet. ;)

Currently, I’m stuck with my original drawings, no idea where to put what and choosing its colors have me in a panic as well. But instead of doing nothing at all in the mean time, I set out to do a good old portrait again.
Lately I’ve been re-watching Charmed episodes, so I decided on drawing the stunning Holly Marie Combs, the cutest of the Charmed sisters.
This is the latest stage of the drawing (stage 3), where I’m at now:

Although, now that I look at it again, the eyes are a bit Alyssa Milano-ish. Okay, I’ll have to fix that, or just move on to an Alyssa drawing.
These are the previous stages, the second (left) and the first (right):

Still needs a lot of work and improvement, obviously. All images are clickable and have a more detailed description alongside an enlargement.
Stay tuned for the final result.

Okay, time to show you what I’m currently, and I use this term loosely — working on. You can click it to enlarge (don’t worry, she not naked, her breasts have smilies on them.)
I’ve never been very good with using colored pencils for my drawings, I normally simply stick with my 4H, HB and 4B pencils and such so I don’t need to panic about what color to use ‘here or here, wait what about there?’ That’s also why my paintings always take so long.
But if you’re not going to challenge yourself from time to time it just gets dull. So I decided I’d throw a bit of color into this drawing, not too much (baby steps,) I haven’t even decided yet what colors to use for the rest of the drawing and it’s been sitting around for a month or two.
So every two weeks I add some shade or finish an arm and then put it away to daydream about all the drawings and paintings I will have finished by the time I’m 60 (about 5, I’d wager.)
